As Oregon’s premier business association, AOI aggressively strives to shape and guide policies and regulations so that every Oregonian has an opportunity to contribute to and enjoy the rewards of prosperity. AOI is the state’s most effective advocate for the long-term enhancement of Oregon’s business climate, and is dedicated to helping Oregon business succeed. AOI represents its members before the legislature and state agencies for issues pertaining employment practices, energy, environment, general business, health care, retail, fiscal policy, technology and education, and transportation. AOI’s guiding principles are to support: a free-market economy; a well-educated, trained, and employable citizenry; justifiable, cooperative, appropriate, fact-based regulation; private property rights; efficient, effective and accountable public policies that encourage private sector job creation and business prosperity; and a mutually supportive, vigorous economy and high-quality environment.
