Oregon AFL-CIO

We represent more than 125,000 working men and women in Oregon, including workers in jobs as diverse as steelworkers, nurses, firefighters, electricians, paperworkers, truck drivers, teachers and more. We work in the policy arena for stable family-wage jobs with adequate healthcare, career pathways, and secure retirement coverage. As part of this agenda, we actively promote the creation and expansion of registered apprenticeship programs. As a founding member of the Oregon Apollo Alliance, we have a particular focus on development of a sustainable energy sector in the state. We seek fair treatment from employers in our workplaces. We defend the right of all workers to receive a fair share of the wealth they produce with their labor.
