Oregon Innovation Council (Oregon InC)

Oregon InC is the cross-sector leadership team created by Oregon’s governor and state legislature to drive the state’s innovation strategy. This coalition of 40 leaders from traded-sector industry, higher education and government has a clear mission: to identify Oregon’s top innovation-driven growth opportunities, maximize the state’s competitive advantages and establish Oregon’s niche in the global economy. Oregon’s ability to succeed in the global marketplace depends on our ability to identify and catalyze Oregon’s unique industry and research strengths, as well as our capacity to forge strategic partnerships and bring new investments to our state. Oregon InC’s first charge is to develop and track the state’s Innovation Plan. Drawing on best practices from around the country and input from state, national and international experts on innovation, Oregon InC will identify a targeted list of key “next steps” for Oregon’s public and private sectors.
