Description:
The history of AeA is a compelling story of growth which spans over 6 decades. What began as a small group in 1943 by David Packard, co-founder of the Hewlett-Packard Company, and 25 suppliers, is now the nation’s largest high-tech trade association representing all segments of the technology industry and approximately 1.8 million employees. AeA is a nationwide non-profit trade association and is dedicated solely to helping our members’ top line and bottom line. We do this by providing access to investors; state, federal and international lobbying; insurance services; government procurement; business networking; foreign market access; select business services; and executive education. Formerly the American Electronics Association, the name was changed in 2001 to AeA, with the tagline “Advancing the Business of Technology”, to encompass the broad spectrum of the high-tech industry. AeA has 18 offices across the U.S., and also operates in Brussels and Beijing. Please visit www.aeanet.org
